I believe in real moments and chasing sunsets. In the kinds of images that remind you of the joy that can be found in the simplest of moments together. I believe in images that are itching to be printed, placed in beautiful frames and hung on walls for years to come.

I have always had a heart for the creative arts. I enjoyed sampling one medium or another, but each completed project left me feeling like a losing competitor on Netflix's "Nailed It!" That is, until I found myself behind the lens of my very first Nikon...and suddenly my soul was set on fire.

Whenever I pick up that trusty Nikon, I strive to create beautiful and emotional images that tell a story and showcase the beauty of both the people in the images and the world around them.

Even with it's ups and downs, your life, your story, are beautiful and I can't wait to create images to show that!

The South.
Where love, family and tradition are the sugar in our tea.”

I was born and raised in central North Carolina and after enlisting in the military, I moved out to beautiful Hawaii. Since then, I've called Maryland, Texas, Guam, Virginia, and most recently Louisiana home. I have had the pleasure of traveling all across the world documenting love stories for couples.

My love for photography has brought me everywhere from the deserts of Nevada to the bustling city streets of Chicago. But regardless of where I travel, the exquisite colonial architecture and rolling open fields of the Tidewater Region will always be my home.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

IF I HAD TO DESCRIBE THIS BUSINESS IN THREE WORDS, THEY WOULD BE
CLASSIC | TIMELESS | JOYFUL

I love meeting people for the first time and being asked how my husband and I met. I always start by saying that I have known my husband since we were both in second grade, that we've shared the same teachers twice, and that we graduated the same year. When they ask if we are high school sweethearts, the answer is no! I can't remember ever having a conversation with him the entire time we went to school together. NOT. A. SINGLE. ONE

Our lives overlapped so many times over a span of 10 years. His mom was a substitute teacher at our middle school. His sister and I shared the same Girl Scout leader. But we only ever "knew" of each other.

Another 10 years passed before he sent me a kind message over FaceBook congratulating me on buying my first house and offering to send me a housewarming gift. The more I got to know him, the more there was to like!

We went from casual "hey," texts to being on the phone for hours at a time, calling quickly back after hanging up just to hear each-other's voice or to say goodnight, one last time. After a few months, we were head over heels; it didn't take us long to move forward in our relationship. We got engaged after six months and married on our 1 year anniversary!

Fast forward to now, we have been happily married for over 10 years, we have two handsome, intelligent, and healthy boys, and we have been blessed traveled all over the world together.

My husband is my best friend, my soulmate, and my biggest cheerleader. Seeing the value of preserving our own love story through photographs is why I am so passionate about capturing that for others. Through photography, I can help to ensure that your legacy endures for generations to come!

it all began in second grade.
